Update RepGen report parameters

The SQL Server report login password for SPMIONE may be different from PME 8.2. Any saved reports that were brought forward from the old system will contain the old password and need to be updated.

To find the new password:

  1. On the new system, navigate to the …\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\reports folder.
  2. Open one of the default report template files. For example, Load_Profile.xls.
  3. Search for the PASSWORD field that contains the new password.

Use this password to update the old saved reports.

The password needs to be updated in two places for each report: in the Reporter and the Excel workbook.

To update the password in Reporter:

  1. Open Reporter, select a report, and click Edit.

  2. On the Sources tab, click More in the database field.
  3. Update the password in the dialog that opens:

Update the server name in the report .xls files.

To update the server name in the Excel report workbooks:the password in the Excel workbook:

  1. Open a report workbook from the …\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\config\reports folder.
  2. Right-click any tab and then unhide the |PRIVATE|Datasheets.
  3. Update the password to the new PME password. Also, change the server name on the far right end of the entries in this sheet to the new server name. Repeat this step for all the Excel reports in the Reports directory.

If a report is configured to be saved to disk (instead of shown on screen only), you need to update the report and re-save it in the new PME location before you generate any saved reports.

To update a report:

  1. Open Reporter and click the radio button for Manage Reports.
  2. Highlight a report and click Edit.
  3. Click the Distribution tab.
  4. Verify that the Save Excel report folder path is correct or create a new one.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click the radio button for Generate Reports and then generate the report to verify it is working properly.
